The value of really any asset is based on the discounted future cash flows. Fast growing companies do well in low rate environment. Value stocks like cosco and Tesla get hurt more by higher antistrates. What happens in one major assit class, like the stock market, has a huge implication on what happens in the real state market or vice versa.

Does a stock market crash affect real estate? We’ve seen home prices hit record growth over the past two years, with a slight slowdown happening right now. But nothing in the real estate market compares to the stock market selloff that has happened over the past six months. Index funds are down over twenty percent year to date, tech companies are quickly losing valuation, and the stock market doesn’t show any signs of slowing down.
