Elon Musk would read a great deal of science fiction. By the time he was 14, he had read every science fiction book he grew up in South Africa in Pretoria. He really wanted to become an author when he was a kid and write these grand tales of conquest. It's fairly strange into what he's become, I think, a space warlord.
