The Battle of Waterloo

The Battle of Waterloo was fought between the British and the Prussians in 18th century Belgium. The battle is seen as an attempt by Britain to take ownership of the battlefield, both politically and physically. A tourist trade has grown up around it since then with people hunting for Wellington elm trees which are later turned into furniture. There's also a massive political disagreement over the line mound - this giant conical pyramid erected in honour of Prince of Orange.
