The Stigma of Alcohol Addiction

Alcohol is addictive I mean it's certainly different to something that we take orally and then it gets absorbed in a much different way into our bloodstream than something that we inject like morphine in the hospital so there's a longer process. Because we have this kind of cultural norm of only drinking in the evenings and you know different things um it's not like being injected with morphineCertainly in the sense that how quickly it can happen is very very different equally when you go and you drink for two weeks straight because of a tragedy and you're drinking every single day or when you start addiction alcohol is addictive. It triggers all the same addictive mechanisms within our body that heroin does that cocaine does that morphine does,
