Is There a Second Act for Big Media Personalities?

NBC paid Meghan Kelly $69 million to create a show that absolutely nobody watched and then agreed to part ways. David Letterman was a great late night host but it's not exactly like it's this big phenomenon. John Stewart has tried to refashion himself in all these ways, which are smart and sophisticated...but he will be remembered as the host of The Daily Show. I'm not sure that you can pluck a Stephen Colbert or a Trevor Noah and bring them to CNN and turn that into something that's really compelling.
