80% of Black Chicago, the actual voters, voted for Brandon Johnson. The kind of turnout machine that has been built by some of the left-wing alderman, the city council members in the city. That kind of coalition of working class Latinos and mostly white gentrifiers was pretty essential to his being able to bring up enough numbers to win the mayoral race.
