The Common Link Between Scientific Progress and Moral Progress
i think it's not an accident that scientific progress economic progress and moral progress go together right uh Jacob brinowski makes some some very powerful arguments along these lines. He says for example you cannot really do science at all unless you have certain values like respect for truth or freedom to express ideas. And more subtly certain properties of a scientific community are necessary for scientific progress to continue beyond one generation now.
