The Supreme Court's Decision to Block Illinois' Ban on Assault Weapons

A federal judge is blocking the state of Illinois from enforcing a ban on assault weapons. Democrats passed the measure in response to a deadly mass shooting during a Fourth of July parade last year. Several groups filed a lawsuit against it, which was thrown out Friday. The Supreme Court has already ruled that Americans have a right to a handgun inside their home for self-defense.
