In 1908, Henry Ford launches the Model T and sells 15 million of them with making basically no changes that are visible to the customer. Nowadays, it's very common for a company to launch what's called a minimum viable product in which you pair your product offering down to the fewest features. You do not try to anticipate; you hold back because you recognize you don't know. On the internet, I think it makes far more sense to hold back from anticipation than anticipating deep in actions.
