The Different Ways to Build Systematic Strategies

We think about the markets before we build a strategy. And I think that's very unique. There are many people in our space that just look at data. They use technique like pattern recognition to find relationships in markets. But oftentimes they don't know really what's driving the movement in markets. We may not get on a plane and fly down to Brazil to understand exactly every dynamic about the coffee market but we do think about if X happens and we believe Y will happen, now let's look at the data and actually codify that.
