The Way of God Still Works

God will bust your kneecaps to show you mercy. This is the way he is. As soon as you think you've got a leg to stand on, he busts that sucker out. Self-dependence is the enemy of grace. And what he does here, he gives you the law and he crushes you with it. Then he comes and opens your eyes to the life-giving gift that he has provided for you.
