How to Connect to Your Hardcore Character on Launch Day

The game disconnected which kills your character. This connected from a death I saw this and they were it was some sort of race going on to see who would be the first character to get to 100 level 100 in hardcore mode. It's sucked at like like six or seven o'clock at night when I tried to log in and was stuck at a queue for 30 minutes trying to get into play that game.
