Did Joan See These Things, or Is She Making Up?
It's a really, really hard question historians to ask, you know, did joan actually see these things, or is she making up? And i cannot imagine in any world that some one would have invented something like this for a kind of self aggrandizement because the stakes are so high. Even when she first sort of appears on the scene, joane says, i've got one year to do this. So she knows that this is going to come to a sticky end. I think if one puts oneself in an early fifteenth century context, it's perfectly conceivable that people really did believe this,. and at least found it sufficiently crediblethat it could inspire huge groups of people
