Political parties are often seemingly random assortments of policy preferences driven by interest groups. A lot has been made of a political re alignment that has occurred in recent years, or is occurring as we speak. How do you evaluate the realignment to the extent that it's happening? Do you have any predictions about what it will look like in the coming years?
