The Importance of Connecting Grids
One clear way to protect our power supply is by making the switch to renewables like wind and solar. Right now, the electric grid gets the majority of its energy from fossil fuels like oil, gas, and coal. The emissions from those fossil fuels are making extreme weather more extreme. Moving to more things like renewables, other sources of energy that don't produce carbon dioxide will tackle the underlying part of the problem.
