The Japanese Invasion of Manchuria
Japanese steel output rose from two million tons in 19 30 to almost doubles in 19 38. Coal extraction went from 30 millon tons to 50 million tons. Hitler then announced he would not abide by the treaty of versailles, and he would rearm. In 19 35, he would build a modern, gigantic german military expenditure. And therefore there were opportunities to be had. Fortune favoured the bold.
