The Importance of Manufacturing in the Economy

Former Treasury official and morning show economic analyst Steve Ratner joins us now. We hear how bad the economy is all the time from the same just during Republicans who, well, just as Aristotle would say, make stuff up. But let's take a look at what's actually been happening over here. $189 billion of manufacturing spending that has been announced and expected so far for this year. It's already created over 200,000 construction jobs. And then obviously the manufacturing yet to come.
