What the Subacks Are Facing Like Any Irrigation System
This is one of my favorite parts the perfect order book, and i'd like listeners to just get to be able to appreciate it as well. What the suba evolved was a solution to this problem that itself was based on a fit with the local licology. The way they do that is they schedule planting a synchronous process over a sufficiently large area. And so new irrigation projects often fail. Because the thing can wrap up the downstream farmer is at the mercy, if you like, of the upstream farmer. So there's a kind of temporal symmetry where they can't affect us, but we can affect the welfare of future generations. It's different from other resource situations.
