The Role of Design in Accessibility
For years accessibility has been seen as the domain of the engineer. As we understand better how people with different disabilities use things, we are starting to understand better the role of design in accessibility. Not all of it is about colours and the visual part that you're seeing. It involves maybe patching stuff up with a bit of area or following certain standards of how you do stuff and testing to make sure it actually works. But what kicked off this conversation was when I tweeted a few weeks ago now asking people, asking designers how they made their designs accessible.
