The Justice Department Isn't Obliged to Follow What Congress Is Referring to Them

In Florida, prosecutors are calling for an investigation after a juror claimed that she felt threatened during deliberations in the case of parkland school shooter Nikolas Cruz. The jury sentenced Cruz to life in prison instead of the death penalty, angering many, including some of the victims' family members. Back here in Washington, former president Donald Trump has sent a message to the January 6 committee after it unanimously voted to issue him a subpoena.
