Do You Have a Favorite Book From When You Were Young?

i was the wide reader, and i came later to being the deep reader. My grandfather read aloud to me quite a lot. And i definitely participated in theencyclopaedia serandipity. I remember one of those books was call it courage by armstrong sperry. The polynesian boy who's bullied in his tribe. He takes offen a joy ride in one of the canoes and ends up on this island - where he faces cannibals. You'd have to beg your mother for three dollars to bring to school so that you could get one of these books.
