The New Consumer Demand Scheme
The new consumer demand scheme was trialled by Octopus Energy. People would pay a few pence, a few pounds if they shifted their energy used to off-peak times. That not only helps the consumers to save money, but it also helps the energy suppliers and the National Grid to be able to smooth that demand. It's quite obvious that the cause of this is the gas crisis.
