The Importance of Giving Nebulizing Naloxone

In 2015, there was a patient safety alert from NHS England that talked about giving naloxone in these long-term opioid users. And they say that larger than recommended doses can cause rapid reversal of the physiological effects and precipitate an acute withdrawal syndrome. So we need to be really, really cautious about when we give nalox one to those patients. But what's really interesting to think about is actually what the heroin user is going through. We don't know how it would feel to die - I guess that feeling somehow translates as how it would Feel to Die.
