In the years since erica's death, the alonzos have worked tirelessly to tell her story and to create a platform for others to share information about their missing and murdered loved ones. They've also worked really hard to make sure that if there is some one out there who moved erica's body after either killing her or realizing she overdosed, that they will be penalized. Together with california state senator janet and they've successfully lobbied for erica's law which allows for charges to be filed against any one who conceals an accidental death up to one year after they are identified by law enforcement.
