What Happened to the Poor in France?

I think we hear a lot about the French Revolution in terms of Louis and Marianne Toonette. But we don't hear so much like you say about how it affected everyday people. I wonder whether you could give us a sense of what it might have been like to be an ordinary person living through this time in France. Yes, well, the experiences would have been very different. You had the poor people who really were suffering. Then you had the rich aristocrats who even right up until 1792, some of them were living fairly comfortably out in their shadows.
