Is There a Difference Between a Customer and a Recommendation?

There are two schools of thought on what you should do with or recommend. One is, i want to just keep giving you kind of things that i know you're going to like. The other one is creating behavior loops where you can create rituals. You may not want them to do exactly what's obvious and easy. So also keep that in mind.
