The Democratic Party Is Changing, a Generational Change

Sakim Jeffries is expected to be unanimously elected by his peers in a closed-door vote this morning. Catherine Clark of Massachusetts who will serve as his deputy and then Pete Aguilar of California will become the conference chair. This new crop, these three new leaders are 30 years younger than the group that they're going to replace with House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, Steny Hoyer and James Clyburn in those top three spots.
