Is This an Inflection Point for the Climate Migration Issues?
People are going to be moving. There's going to be drmatic population shifts, and some of the urban areas that were not as heavily affected by the flooding are suddenly going to have surging populations. That is a security concern in the context we've talked about in terms of perhaps extremist groups trying to take advantage politically. But this is something that, you know, the world bank release to report years ago now, called ground swell,. which talked about the number of internal migrants around the globe being in the millions by 20 50. So i think, looking at what happend in pakistan, there could be a lot to learn, frankly, from that, and apply lessons elsewhere.
