The Stickiest Moments
I would never recommend selling a business on your own, unless it's something you have done multiple times. I think working with an outside consultant was crucial because it allowed for the separation. This person wasn't emotionally attached to the value the company and they could be very objective. The stickiest moments were just the pay out, because i really wanted as much as i could get up front. And of course, being business partner, she wanted to pay me over an extended period of time.
