Strep A: The latest medical advice
This Is Why
00:00
Introduction
From autumn onwards our children all seem to be returning home from school with sniffles, colds and random complaints about their health. This year however, I'm starting to get slightly concerned because of something known as group A strep to caucus. It is a common enough bacteria which usually results in mild symptoms but this year we have seen a number of deaths due to it. What should we be looking out for and if we do spot the symptoms, what should we do? We need some advice on all of this so we will be speaking to a public health expert in just a second. The next voice you'll hear is that of Dean Burns.
