The Fear of the Past Is That We Would Be Slave Owners
The culture war is like a side show to a much larger story that is actually pretty consistent. We're not afraidof an external king and a slave owner coming and enslaving us any more. But it seems that if we can sort of find that deeper root in american society, in the west generally - i don't know what that looks like. I hope it's not sort of like a violent revolution. Nhoh, it doesn't need to look that way.
