Duke of Somerset facing rebellions all over the place. Russell is reinforced by bands of foreign mercenaries that the government has sent down to support him so because he can't raise local troops very fortuitously for protect to Somerset he had various groups of Albanian, Burgundian um other sort of foreign mercenaries who he can actually send down to support Russell. It's the arrival of those foreign very well-trained mercenary troops that really tips the balance and at this point Russell finally has enough men and enough really good men he can rely on to move out and try and relieve the siege of Exeter.
