What Is an Informant?
Informers are convicts that are caught by the copse for petty crimes like thievery, trespass, in or arson. Once they are caught, the corps actually let them free without any charges. In exchange, these convicts can go back into their little gangs of criminals. And feed the copse with information that they need. These people form a very important structure of the police system in india and that's really cool to me.
