The Problems With the US Women's Soccer Team
The U17 team regularly hasn't made the women's World Cup our U20 team has not been successful in a decade. We're still stuck in a pay-to-play system so it's as if our country is maybe one-tenths its size when we're talking about developing players. I think back to previous world cups and major tournaments like that very frustrating draw against Sweden in the quarterfinals in the Olympics. They were so sluggish in the the group stage and very nearly went out against Columbia in the round of 16 at the 2015 World Cup.
