Sally Kohn: I wonder if one reason to focus on the work of the home and the unpaid pre commodified, we would say care work that's going on is that that sense of obligation. She says it also seems really significant because it is imported into the new economy that's being created through the commodification of care. Kohn: It becomes one way that management in a way is able to leverage the sort of surrounding social structure as a way of making it harder for workers in that new economy who don't come from those kinds of families join together like they once did.
