The Matrix Is No Longer All Bad
The story does give us an explicit real world with characters that have escaped the matrix and are now living in a, to them, separate reality. The whole relation with the machines has grown much friendlier. And they have machines and programms who are on their side now. But at the same time, i think there's some degree of commentary about the way capitalism, or films, or like, the way big media and various aspects of the economy work. They keep us hooked on something without ever giving us true nourishment.
