The Two Understandings of How We Come to God

Abel approaches God by faith and he knows that God is going to accept his offering. Not because of some quality that is inherent in him, not because he is good enough or righteous enough. He was assured in his own mind that God was going to receive his worship favorably because of who he was. That's the one kind of worship. The other is the worship of Abel.
