The Rhetorical Shift in Weight Stigma

I feel like this continued employment of the, it's not your body. It's your brain thing is very connected to that whole kinder, more humane veneer on top of forced weight loss and an elimination campaign. I feel like you can learn a lot about where somebody stands on the topic of fat oppression by the language they use. The research that people are drawing on in order to talk about weight stigma that occurs in the medical context is limited to the realm of feelings and thoughts. And so like helping along this body brain separation that I keep seeing come up, especially with discussions about weight loss that have like a current like cut article.
