Virus Evolution in Chronic Infections

There's probably some real virology happening that i think is sort of underappreciated in terms of how this virus works. And, you know, maybe a few interesting surprises. So a spike, which gets all the attention, and which at the population level, has fixed the most mutations, or you see the most variation, actually wasn't the highest. The fact that you have these really outliar histories um for some patience in terms of the genetic diversity that gets propagated in that single infection is an important clue here.
