The Clean Air Act and the Clean Water Act
This lawsuit is focused under the Clean Water Act. The law requires EPA to set limits for all pollutants and all waste streams, revise those limits at least once every five years when data shows that technologies have improved. A Supreme Court decision I believe limited the EPA's power to use the Clean Air Act to regulate greenhouse gas emissions.
