Order Liberalism - What Are They Trying to Protect?
order liberalism is premised on the idea of competition and economic, monetized competition. The early order liberals in the right were big on anti trust and very much against monopolies. But they also directly connected with the construction of the post war west german states. They are not simply trying to protect their own power; it's not as simple as that. So there's ways in which ordo liberalism is both a kind of philosophy of the need for strong sovereign authority in moments of crisis.
