Are There Accounts of Black Britons in the Early Medieval Period?

The why black people came to Britain changes over time. It's people interested in a better life at times for work or education, because they're fleeing a situation. We do have little glimpses in the historical record of people who may have been black and probably were from Africa. But we don't have a huge number of written sources or sources written by black people themselves from from the medieval era.
