How to Avoid Drawdown Fear
Drawdown represents the amount by which you are less well off than you were or put differently. Managers are obliged to wear their worst historical drawdown like a scarlet letter for the rest of their lives. A great example of getting scared at the wrong time can be seen in this trader's story. Some clients do look at that performance chart and buy when the fund is experiencing a drawdown.
