Half price tickets are a very, very difficult one for an airline to administer. The changes in the numbers of people who were allowed to return and the frequency with which that changed made it almost impossible for commercial airlie ines to service that small demand. There was a lot of criticism about people being bumped from flights in favor of people who had bought t more expensive tickets. But competition and economics tells you that price is driven by supply and demand.
