The fight for the speaker of the house came to an end early Saturday morning. The dust settled on what has and has not changed thanks to a rules package passed this week. Republicans have killed Democrats pay as you go rule shortened to pay go. That requires legislation that would add to the deficit to be offset with tax increases or spending cuts.
