i picked the infantry, knowing that i was like 80 % chance of going to combat. That took me to ranger school. And when i got thisis, this is funny, when i got to ranger school, i my unit was ready in afghanistan. I had not met my unit yet. So i literally had to go through without recycling, without repeating a phase, or getting dropped straight through a by the skin of my teeth - and then am after being back for about a year and a half, back here stateside. A, those experiences,. a, certainly have shaped his world view, and i'm starting, starting to now talk about those experiences with other veterans in space
