The Importance of David's Reputation

David was like a national celebrity at that point the women singing his praises and he was a national celebrity. He inflamed the jealousy of Saul demonically because of all of these things but I think David had shown that he wasn't the kind of ego maniac that was like he had to be worshipped no David cheerfully served Saul that whole time. The ideal king is a father to the nation and he rules such that everybody is at peace with God at peace with one another.
