The Logic Underpinning the Containment of China

China's technology is driving China's economic growth and its military sort of catch up. The second element is China doesn't really know how to make and innovate new technology. So the containment of China is taking the form of preventing access to high-end technology. This technological decoupling is an extremely broad, aggressive step that the US is taking. And it's not clear if it's going to succeed on its own terms.
