The Lord Said to the People, Be Prepared by the Third Day

On the third day, there was thunder and lightning and a thick cloud upon the mountain. Then moses brought the people out of the camp to meet god. And they took their stand at the foot of the mountain. The lord descended on mount sinai in fire; it quaked greatly. As the sound of the trumpet grew louder and louder, moses spoke: "You shall be my own possession among all peoples"
