The Problem With Tipping
In the 19th century, six states passed bans on tipping. Tipping didn't originate in the states, it originated in the feudal homes of Europe. The restaurant industry actually squashed that movement and demanded the right to hire newly freed slaves. And we've gone from a zero dollar minimum wage in 1938 to a whopping $2.13 an hour today.
